Clyde H. Morgan
Clyde is originally from Forest, Mississippi. He is married to the former Joanna Bigham from Leland, MS. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Clyde is retired from the State of Mississippi. He taught at five colleges or universities and was an Acting and Associate Dean of Continuing Education. His civilian education includes a BS in Geology, an MA in Religious Education, an MS in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Adult Education and Criminal Justice.
Clyde is also retired from the US Army where he was branch qualified in Infantry and Military Police. He is a graduate of the US Army Basic and Advanced Infantry Courses, the US Army Command & General Staff College, and the US Army War College. Morgan was decorated three times for valor in combat in Vietnam where he was an infantry company commander. His awards include the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Distinguished Rifleman Badge which was awarded for Excellence in High Power Rifle competition. He is the only Mississippi reservist ever awarded the DRB since its inception in 1884.
Clyde is certified by the State of Mississippi as a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety to conduct the Enhanced Concealed Carry Weapon Qualification Course. He is rated NRA Lifetime Master in Highpower Rifle, has been the Mississippi State Civilian Master Class Champion in Highpower Rifle, and was a member of the Mississippi Governor's Top Twenty Shooters. He has served as a consultant to the Army Research Institute at Ft. Benning, GA, for the purpose of improving the US Army's Basic Rifle Marksmanship Training Program.
Clyde owns Morgan Outdoors, Inc., an oversight company for his training, consulting, and outdoor billboard advertising businesses. He also owns and operates Sherman Hill Shooting Center and The Team Leader Course on his land at Forest.
